Take over Upstairs at The Lamb and celebrate in your very own private space in the heart of Bloomsbury. Recently and beautifully refurbished, our private room is perfect for everything from birthday parties and engagement celebrations to leaving drinks, corporate events and long overdue get-togethers with friends, family or colleagues.

With space for up to 55 guests standing, your party can enjoy its own private bar and plenty of room to mingle with a glass of something sparkling in hand. Planning a sit-down celebration instead? Gather up to 36 guests for a relaxed dining experience with delicious seasonal dishes, pub favourites and plenty of wine flowing throughout the evening.

Get the party started before you’ve even arrived with our pre-order packages, designed to keep the good times flowing from the very first drink. Have wines chilled and beers on ice ready and waiting, so your guests can arrive in style and skip the bar queues.

Keep everyone fuelled with generous sharing boards and canapés, perfect for grazing while the conversation (and drinks) keep coming. And if you’re really celebrating, line up a round (or two) of shots for later in the evening – because no great party ever ended early.

I always say London has the best pubs in the world, this establishment is well worth the visit. The atmosphere and the history is hard to better. The Snob screens are an absolute delight to look at, it's like stepping back in time. Dickens did have a decent local to sup in. Warmly welcomed, and great beers to choose from. Had our annual 'friends get together' at The Lamb yesterday. There were 20 of us including children so we were offered the upstairs private room, along with our own member of waiting staff. The whole experience was excellent; we pre-ordered food and were asked what time we'd want it to be served. Service was attentive, and the food was delivered without a hitch. We weren't rushed and felt as though the space was ours which meant that we could relax and catch up once we'd eaten.

We require a deposit or card authentication to secure your booking, which may vary depending on the date and time of the party as well as number of guests.

Unfortunately we don’t have any parking facilities, but we are a short stroll from both Holborn Station, Russell Square Station and not far from King’s Cross St Pancras.

We do not allow external catering for parties, but we do have an extensive range of food and drinks menus perfect for any party.

Yes we have a courtyard garden at the back of the pub, as well as our terrace tables out the front on Lamb’s Conduit Street.
